Album: Has Been - William Shatner

After months of thinking about it, I bought the William Shatner / Ben Folds album titled “Has Been” (link to the itunes music store) - I’m enjoying it. One of my favourite songs is That’s Me Trying (link to lyrics); partly because it reminds me of someone I met once.

If you’re a fan of Ben Folds, and enjoy hearing Shatner say things - he doesn’t make much of an attempt to sing, but he doesn’t really need to - then this is worth investigating.

    I also love ‘That’s Me Trying’. ‘Common People’ is an obvious highlight, and I also like one that I think Henry Rollins features on… ‘I Can’t Get Behind That’, I think it’s called - it’s funny, in an old man kind of way.

    You may also like to check out Spaced Out a compilation of the songs by Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner. A colleague of mine has it and assures me it’s a most curious mix. It’s no Transformed Man though.
