Café juve, burwood

Café juve, burwood

Segafredo coffee. Overlooking the train station; lots of daylight; two staff - one unfriendly, one friendly.
Coffee is really hot, and a good texture, but they can’t overcome that segafredo taste.

movie: the da vinci code

The Da Vinci Code
So much ink has been expended on the teaching content of the book, and the movie; it’s pretty clear that the sorts of things that the movie says about Jesus, and about the church is largely made up. The trouble is that there is no difference in the presentation of fact and [...]

Bowan island bakery, drummoyne

Bowan island bakery, drummoyne

Toby’s estate coffee. Mostly a bakery, with a café bolted onto it. Delicious food, and fairly close to the bay run, so a good spot to recharge after some exercise. With all the sweets on offer, though, be careful you don’t undo all your hard work!
There’s a bit [...]

These beans are getting quite old - about a month: for those of you who remember the trip to canberra, it’s the beans we took down then! The new grinder has brought more life to them than I thought possible.

possibly over-valued

Ben could sell-up for $36,000. Looks like all the cafe-blogging has paid off: I’m a little bit ahead, but nowhere near the lofty heights of kottke. Shame there aren’t more crazy buyers out there.

matthew versus luke

Back on the laptop again, leaving the stack of books alone for now: I’ve looked up all the reference material I think i need, and now it’s a matter of working out what I’m going to put in this (2000 word) essay. I’ve been moving back and forth from “this is going to be a [...]
