Movie: Match Point
Woody Allen put together this engaging film. If you like Woody Allen, if you don’t mind a film that moves a little slowly, and plays with its genre a little, you’ll probably enjoy it.

Schibello coffee. Indoor, outdoor seating up the hill on Berry Street; in the distance, the pacific highway, but here, it’s quiet. A gentle breeze blows across our downward sloping table. Cheery staff take the order.
A generous sized large latte comes out just the right temperature, with a [...]

Passeggio espresso bar

Piazza d’oro coffee. More restaurant than cafĂ©, liquor licenced and all, this place is a haven for suits looking for good food and a glass of wine at lunch time.
Coffee is better than I remember it; hot, good consistency, pleasant taste.

Belaroma coffee. A converted terrace house which has really made the most of its space. Indoor, upstairs and backyard seating with some leafy shade.
Orders are taken after a relaxed pause; a range of breads, juices, and lots of menu options for lunch. Breakfast is cooked on the bbq in the [...]

Danes coffee. Not the cheapest place in sydney, but a really pleasant coffee with a lot of body.

Is Jesus God?

Is Jesus God? The Da Vinci Code, and various people, would say no, but what does the bible say about it?

Toby’s estate coffee. After a seven km run, there’s nothing like sitting down for a leisurely breakfast. Leisurely is the operative word: queue to order at the counter, then sit outside in the sun or inside admiring the portrait of owner steve bisley.
Coffee, when it eventually arrives, is good. A [...]

Mocopan coffee. From the name, I was expecting a deep fryer, but this is a traditional styled café, apart from the tv mounted on the wall. Seating is indoor (about 30) and outdoor (10).
Coffee comes out really quickly, and is quite good.

Bowan island bakery, burwood

Bowan island bakery, burwood

Toby’s estate coffee. Just above greater union cinema, the soundscape here comes from the nearby clothing stores, and from the piped-in westfiled music. Softly beneath tjese sounds, the footsteps of shoppers are heard.
The café seems to do more takeaway business than eat-in, but has seating for about 30 [...]

We seem to have lost track of the reason that we have this four-day weekend.

Tranquilo cafe, burwood

Tranquilo cafe

Musetti coffee. Overlooking burwood park, with a great breeze moving through the indoor and outdoor seating. Has an adjoining pizzeria, but on the café side, it’s comfortable furnished, with lounge-style seats to sink into. There’s some traffic noise here, and a view of burwood park. Mains are around $17 on [...]
