Sweet belem, petersham

With the sound of traffic still barely audible through the glass doors, the floorspace in this café is evenly divided. On one side tables, with awesome tiled pattern, and a cake shop window filled with a mix of traditional fare and unusual, but delicious creations.

A weak, belaroma latte is brought out after a while: not a standout coffee by itself, but a great compliment to the portuguese tart I ordered: it’s this that the café is known for, and if you’re after a sweet dessert that’s not too heavy, this is a worthy destination.
