Book: A Spectator's Guide to World Views

Book: A Spectator's Guide to World Views

Edited by Simon Smart, a collection of essays by a range of Christian authors. This book is, I think, targetted at a first-year-uni age group, and seeks to introduce its reader to different ways of understanding the world: Relativism, Humanism, Feminism, New Age, Consumerism.

It works well as an introduction, but feels a little too shallow, lacking suggestions for further reading. In places, it feels hastily put together - there are some issues with the typesetting and layout that are a bit surprising in a book that's being sold for around $AUD25. Features discussion questions throughout - it could be useful for a young adult discussion group.
